3. Minnesota Vikings at Jacksonville Jaguars (2016, Week 14)

  • End of 3rd Quarter Score: 16-12, Jaguars
  • Final Score: 25-16, Vikings

A fourth-quarter switch was flipped in this bad boy.

At the time, this comeback felt more than important than it would ultimately be. In the 2016 season, the Vikings sprinted to a 5-0 record with defensive and special teams touchdowns ablaze. Minnesota entered the bye week considered by most to be a top-three team in the NFL, if not the best.

It all fell apart. The defense and special teams stopped scoring, and the Vikings could not run the football, at all. The offensive line was particularly leaky, and offensive coordinator Norv Turner even split town because of it.

That said, in Week 14 versus at Jacksonville, Minnesota was on the fringe of playoff contention. The Jaguars took a four-point lead in the fourth quarter but would not score again. Matt Asiata again scored a rushing touchdown during a comeback, and Sam Bradford found tight end Kyle Rudolph for a three-yard score late in the game to end Jacksonville’s afternoon.

Minnesota’s front four on defense was also merciless. Everson Griffen, Danielle Hunter, and Brian Robison collectively tallied four sacks in the win.
