4 CFL players who could land with the Minnesota Vikings

Bo Levi Mitchell – QB
One CFL player that comes with a glowing resume is Bo Levi Mitchell. The quarterback has been the league’s best player for a considerable period. He does come with some limitations, but he could be one worth bringing in for a workout during training camp.
The Vikings do not have much in the way of quality depth behind star quarterback Kirk Cousins next season. Sean Mannion is poised to be their No. 2 option and it appears unlikely that Jake Browning or rookie Nate Stanley will be ready for the field any time soon.
Mitchell enjoyed two prolific years at Eastern Washington in college after transferring from Southern Methodist University. This came with plenty of individual accolades, but it was not enough for the signal-caller to get a chance at the NFL level.
He began his CFL journey as a backup, but it was not long before his talent came to the fore. This has brought some incredible success over the last five years, including two Grey Cups.
His last season under center for the Calgary Stampeders saw Mitchell complete 66 percent of his pass attempts for 3,464 passing yards and 19 touchdowns. There is a lot to like about his composure in the pocket, but whether he can make a transition to the NFL after eight years of operating at the CFL level is up for debate.
Mitchell might be happy being a big fish in a relatively small pond and this is arguably the worst time for any player to come into the NFL thanks to an unprecedented offseason of disruption.
