Jefferson attended the same high school as a Hall of Famer
Hopefully, there is some contagious mojo in the falls of Destrehan High School in Louisiana.
In all seriousness, this another factoid that is more fascinating than its fortune-telling. Both Ed Reed and Justin Jefferson are from Lousiana and they were raised about 10 miles apart. Jefferson was born in Destrehan while Reed was born in St. Rose, Louisiana.
Reed attended Destrehan High School in the mid-1990s and Jefferson graduated from the facility in 2017 before departing for LSU in the fall.
Around the recent landscape of the NFL, the state of Louisana has produced several successful pro players. Talents such as Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Dak Prescott, Leonard Fournette, Landon Collins, Odell Beckham, Reggie Wayne, Deion Jones, Irv Smith Jr, and Tyrann Mathieu all hail from the Bayou State.
If you wind the clock back further, guys like Terry Bradshaw, Marshall Faulk, Aeneas Williams, and Neil Smith are also tied to Louisiana.
