4 Vikings players who might be traded before Week 1 of the 2020 season

Rashod Hill – OT
It is hard not to be impressed by the way Ezra Cleveland has applied himself during training camp so far. The rookie came to the Vikings with a high ceiling and it is clear he has a tremendous amount of potential to make a successful transition to the next level.
There is not a great deal of pressure for Cleveland to come in and make an immediate contribution. The Vikings decided not to part ways with left tackle Riley Reiff this offseason and they also have one of the NFL’s brightest young protectors on the right-hand side in Brian O’Neill.
Cleveland already looks to be the heir apparent to Reiff long-term. Despite working at guard during this summer’s training camp, he could end up being Minnesota’s primary offensive tackle backup in 2020 and this could spell the beginning of the end for Rashod Hill.
Hill was given a new one-year contract by the Vikings during free agency this offseason after being used sparingly in 2019, playing just 150 snaps. He did receive a 61.0 grade from Pro Football Focus for his contribution, but his time on the field diminished significantly from 50.3 percent in 2018 to just 15.3 percent last season.
Teams are always looking for additional offensive line depth at this stage of the preseason. Players fail to meet expectations or get injured at training camp and if Minnesota receives even a modest trade offer for Hill, it is an option worth considering.
