Hunter missing a lot of practice with a mystery injury

Tuesday marked the ninth practice in a row that Danielle Hunter has missed since the Vikings started their training camp. Other than Mike Zimmer saying that Hunter is dealing with a, “little tweak,” we have been given no info to make any kind of guess about what sort of injury is currently sidelining the defensive end.

What’s even more odd is that Hunter has still been in attendance for each of the practices he hasn’t participated in, but he hasn’t been doing any rehab work on the side or anything like that. He’s just been standing on the sideline and watching his teammates battle through practice.

Hunter’s absence from practice is already starting to get a bit concerning and if he continues to remain sidelined, it’s not going to be good for Minnesota’s pass rush this season.

Defensive line is one of the thinnest position groups on the Vikings roster this year and not having a guy on the field like Hunter just going to make things worse. Hopefully, the talented Minnesota defensive end is able to return to the practice field sooner than later so that the stress level for the team and their fans can head back in a positive direction.
