Elite passing weapons

Big things are expected of the Lions passing attack next season. They made some real strides in 2019 and although this did nothing for their win column, there is a chance it can propel them to a much-improved record with adjustments elsewhere. This might present some difficulty for the Vikings, who have undergone some considerable changes at the cornerback position.

Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford might have his limitations, but there are few who would deny he isn’t more than capable of getting the most out of the tools at his disposal. This seems to be a crossroads campaign for the former No. 1 overall pick and he has never had this amount of quality pass-catchers to work with during his career.

Kenny Golladay looks primed for superstardom in 2020 after breaking out last season. The wide receiver has the right blend of size, speed, and athleticism that made him a nightmare to cover. This was further reflected with 65 receptions, 1,190 receiving yards, 11 touchdowns, and a 56 percent catch rate last season.

His high standard of performance was complimented well by Marvin Jones on the opposite side of the field. The duo could become one of the NFL’s best wideout tandems with another step forward next time around if they meet expectations.

Couple this with a nice slot option in Danny Amendola along with a tight end with enormous upside in T.J. Hockenson and the Lions are going to be a force to be reckoned with in passing situations.
