Special Teams (3)

  • Dan Bailey (K)
  • Britton Colquitt (P)
  • Austin Cutting (LS)

Obviously, this was the hardest position group to predict on the entire Vikings roster this year since none of their specialists had any competition during training camp this summer.

Minnesota has made some last-minute moves to their kicking game in the recent past, but it doesn’t seem like they will be doing something similar this year.

Dan Bailey is coming off a very impressive performance in 2019 and it oddly has Vikings fans not worried about their kicking situation for the first time in a long time (probably just jinxed it though, sorry).

Britton Colquitt had was solid for Minnesota last season, but it might be his ability as a holder that benefitted the team the most. The Vikings hope that his connection with Bailey will continue to result in success this year.

As for Austin Cutting, he did well at snapping the ball far distances last season. There’s not much else to analyze when it comes to Minnesota’s long snapper. Apologies to those who were looking for a more extensive, deep dive on Cutting and his long-snapping abilities.
