Final Vikings 53-man roster projection for the 2020 season
By Adam Patrick
Linebackers (5)
- Anthony Barr, Eric Kendricks, Eric Wilson, Troy Dye, Hardy Nickerson Jr.
Will this be the season in which Anthony Barr finally makes an impact for the Vikings as a pass rusher? Let’s not get our hopes up, but at least he’s still managed to find other ways to make a difference on the field for Minnesota’s defense.
What more is there to say about Eric Kendricks? He earned his first career First-Team All-Pro selection last year and that likely won’t be the only time it happens during his tenure in the NFL.
Eric Wilson has seemed to improve more and more during each season that he’s been in the league and this year, he’s expected to grab the role of the Vikings’ third starting linebacker.
For their reserve linebackers, Minnesota goes with a nice mix of youth and experience with Troy Dye and Hardy Nickerson Jr., who should both play an important role on special teams this season.
