Rack up at least 15 sacks

Yannick Ngakoue is a relentless force on the edge. This is something that can be of significant use to the Vikings in 2020 and beyond. An increased sense of motivation for the player should be enough to see a marked improvement in the eight sacks he achieved with the Jaguars in 2019.

The defensive end has all the tools necessary to make a lasting impact from the moment he steps on the field. Having Danielle Hunter opposite on the line of scrimmage should also ensure that his presence is not the focus of everyone’s attention like he experienced in Jacksonville and this extra space could see his game reach new heights.

Ngakoue can get into the opposition’s backfield at will. His career-high of 12 sacks in 2017 should be a realistic target for this season. But there is even a chance he can surpass this providing everything clicks into place right away.

He performs at his best when he is high on confidence. Once Ngakoue builds momentum, he is a very tough proposition to stop and this is something that is going to benefit the Vikings considerably as they look to mount a postseason push once again in 2020.

Somewhere in the region of 15 sacks is an ambitious goal that Ngakoue can aspire to this season. If he can reach this lofty target, then the sky is the limit for him going forward.
