Which players from the Minnesota Vikings didn’t make the team’s 53-man roster?

This year is one of the toughest ever to trim a roster to 53 players. Teams like the Minnesota Vikings have to release players who they haven’t seen play during a single preseason game and were forced to evaluate based on practice and team scrimmages alone.

Still, the team will need to put their 53 best players on the roster going forward if they want to be competitive with the top teams in the NFL. Deciding who those players are will put a lot of stress on the coaches and staff, but it must be done.

Some of the cuts will be controversial while others will make a lot of sense to fans. Once in a while, an unexpected player or two will be released and fans will be left scratching their heads and trying to figure out the decision.

Here are the officially announced released players and a little bit about each of those announcements as they happen on social media starting Saturday, Sept 5, and will run until the 3 p.m. central time deadline.
