Lastly, a visit to the trenches. Vikings offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak has a vast history of making patchwork offensive lines excel, so the theory is that he is confident with the personnel on the team. This is evidenced by guard Aviante Collins joining the catalog of men that were released by the Vikings amid roster cutdowns. Collins was rumored to have a  remote chance at the starting left guard position, but that appointment seems to be trending toward Dakota Dozier.

If Minnesota is, in fact, not set at offensive line, former Broncos guard Ronald Leary is a worthy alternative. He played 755 snaps in 2019 while allowing just one sack. During Leary’s tenure with the Broncos, Gary Kubiak was a “senior personnel advisor,” so Kubiak is likely familiar with Leary’s skill set.

All in all, Leary would provide depth to a unit that brings a bit of worry to many Minnesota Vikings loyalists. The offensive line has been a question mark for the better part of a decade for Minnesota, and 2020 is yet another season in which the team sends off vibes of uncertainty.

The only divergence this season is that Kubiak is reputationally equipped to operationalize the group into a prosperous bunch. Ronald Leary would be an apropos fit within that vision.
