3. Eddie Yarbrough, defensive end

The Minnesota Vikings made it clear this year that they are taking pass rush seriously. Not only do they have Pro Bowl defensive end Danielle Hunter on one side but they also traded for Yannick Ngakoue to solidify their starting duo.

Then, they have a high potential individual in Ifeadi Odenigbo, who could likely be a starter on most NFL rosters. With three excellent pass rushers, it would be assumed that the team would move forward with four, maybe five, defensive ends.

However, the Vikings not only kept physical freak of nature D.J. Wonnum and recently repositioned Jalyn Holmes, but they also kept Eddie Yarbrough to be the sixth defensive end on the 53 man roster,

An undrafted free agent of Denver and former Bills pass rusher, Yarborough’s inclusion on the 53 man roster doesn’t make a lot of sense in the long run unless the team sees a lot of potential in him despite only having one career sack in six starts and 31 games played.
