Are the experts right?

It’s hard not to be a biased fan when looking at your favorite team. Many Minnesota Vikings can often see the team being a better squad than they really are and create unrealistic expectations for the upcoming season.

At this time, it would be absolutely absurd to put the purple and gold above teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, or Baltimore Ravens. However, past those teams, there are some great arguments that can be made for Minnesota being ranked above them.

Typically, it is a great thing when Power Rankings are low. It means there is less of an expectation for the team and they can sometimes go into games underestimated or fired up due to a lack of respect.

Seeing the Vikings in the eight to ten range seems the most logical when thinking about the team’s potential. They lost some pieces on offense and defense but also reloaded at a few positions where it will be needed to be seen before having any idea what to expect from the new starters.
