2020 Schedule

Opponents’ 2019 winning percentage: .516

Games against playoff teams: 6

September

  • 13 – Green Bay Packers
  • 20 – at Indianapolis Colts
  • 27 – Tennessee Titans

Prediction: 3-0

Even without Danielle Hunter suiting up for their first three games, the Vikings are still going to have more talent on the field than any of their opponents in September. Plus all three of these matchups will be played indoors and Minnesota has won 79.3 percent of their games that have taken place under a roof since 2017.

October

  • 4 – at Houston Texans
  • 11 – at Seattle Seahawks (SNF)
  • 18 – Atlanta Falcons
  • 25 – Bye Week

Prediction: 2-1

After starting the season with three straight wins, the Vikings will hit a bit of a speed bump when they travel to Houston to face the Texans and quarterback Deshaun Watson. Minnesota will get back on track during the following two weeks, however, when they get a win in Seattle for the first time since 2006 and they get their fifth-straight victory over the Falcons.

November

  • 1 – at Green Bay Packers
  • 8 – Detroit Lions
  • 16 – at Chicago Bears (MNF)
  • 22 – Dallas Cowboys
  • 29 – Carolina Panthers

Prediction: 3-2

The Vikings second and third losses of the season will come during both of their road matchups in November against the Packers and the Bears. Minnesota will take care of business though in their three home games this month, including an impressive win over a very talented Cowboys team.

December

  • 6 – Jacksonville Jaguars
  • 13 – at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • 20 – Chicago Bears
  • 25 – at New Orleans Saints (Friday)

Prediction: 3-1

After getting wins in each of their first three games of December (including their first-ever victory over Tom Brady), the Vikings will have their Christmas ruined by the Saints who will be looking for revenge after their overtime playoff loss to Minnesota last season.

January

  • 3 – at Detroit Lions

Prediction: 1-0

Heading into this Week 17 matchup with the Lions, the Vikings will still be fighting for the top seed in the NFC. With this being the case, Minnesota will still be making sure they have a victory secured over Detroit before they consider resting some of their top players for the playoffs.

Final Record: 12-4 (2nd seed in NFC)
