Minnesota Vikings Best and Worst: Week 1 vs. Green Bay Packers

The Best
Thielen is still a monster
There was some concern that Adam Thielen wouldn’t be as effective as he has been in past seasons due to the departure of Stefon Diggs. This game definitely proves that he can get it done without his former pass-catching buddy.
Thielen made some big catches in Sunday’s game, nabbing six passes for 110 yards, including two fourth-quarter touchdowns from 37 and 19 yards out, respectively, to help keep the final score look reasonable.
On the day, Thielen had nearly double the yardage of the next-best Minnesota pass catcher (Bisi Johnson had three catches for 56 yards) and he reeled in a little under a third of all the team’s completions during the contest.
A game like this should help quiet the critics of Thielen a bit and give hope that the star Vikings receiver can help this offense make some strides and put more points on the board when it isn’t garbage time.
