Some major adjustments are necessary for the Minnesota Vikings defense.

During the majority of Mike Zimmer’s tenure as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, the team’s defense has been the strongest part of the roster.

Well, in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, the Vikings defense was a tremendous letdown. The uncharacteristically bad performance against the Packers was a big reason why Minnesota walked off the field with a loss.

Luckily for Zimmer and the Vikings, it was only their first game of the season. So there is still plenty of time to make adjustments and get the unit back to playing like one of the best in the NFL.

It might take a few tries here and there, but Minnesota should have confidence that Zimmer can take the necessary steps to fix the defense. He’s the one who transformed the defense into an elite unit before and he’s going to do whatever he can to make sure they don’t get embarrassed again this year like they did against Green Bay,

So as they head into their next matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, what are some of the things the Vikings can adjust to get a better showing out of their defense in Week 2?
