Are the experts right about the Vikings this week?

It’s hard to look at a team as talented as the Vikings and think they are just an “average” team. There is still hope they can turn things around when their young cornerbacks gain experience, the offense becomes more efficient, and Danielle Hunter returns to the field.

One thing to consider is that the Packers could represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this year. They are an excellent team with some great pieces on offense and defense. All of this should be taken into consideration when thinking about Minnesota’s Week 1 performance.

Still, the Vikings deserved to slide in the power rankings this week and four spots seems like an appropriate fall. This doesn’t mean a win against the Colts in Week 2 won’t help them rebound. But for now, this is fair for a disappointing Minnesota squad.

However, 16 might be a bit low as there were many other NFL teams who didn’t live up to their standards in Week 1 and there were some positives to take from the Vikings’ performance against the Green Bay. Right now, Minnesota should be sitting around the No. 14 spot in most power rankings.

Where do you think the Vikings rank as they head into Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season? And which experts make the best points in their reasoning? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
