T.Y. Hilton – WR

No one can deny that the Vikings pass coverage in the first week of the season was absolutely atrocious.

Aaron Rodgers threw for nearly 400 yards and Minnesota’s young corners struggled mightily to cover Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Vikings cornerbacks Cameron Dantzler and Holton Hill were especially tough to watch as they were usually two to three steps behind their man just about every time a pass was completed.

Unfortunately for Minnesota and their young group of corners, things won’t get much easier this Sunday.

While T.Y. Hilton isn’t on the same level as someone like Adams, he’s still a very good wide receiver. Hilton doesn’t have great size, but he does possess blazing speed and he has accumulated 556 receptions for 8,651 yards and 45 touchdowns since entering the NFL in 2012. This is his ninth year in the league and he will use that experience to his advantage.

Just like Adams, Hilton has the ability to bait the Vikings corners into thinking they are seeing one thing when in fact the complete opposite is going to happen. If Hilton succeeds in this, he could be in for a huge day against Minnesota and create big-time plays in the passing game.
