Vikings will fall to 0-3

I wish it weren’t like this. I wish there was something with this team that could breed optimism that they could turn it around. As much as I would love to see the Vikings forge ahead and capture a playoff spot in an expanded postseason field, this team has too many issues for that to happen.

For Sunday, Minnesota enters with an offense with severe confidence and play-calling issues. Their offensive line continues to be in shambles in the exact area where their quarterback struggles and their defense is missing several players due to injury.

If this game were being played in front of the usual crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium, there would be a case for the home-field advantage to will the Vikings to victory. That won’t be the case and with Minnesota throwing out their scraps, it’s just not enough to stop Derrick Henry, Jonnu Smith, and Jadeveon Clowney.

Expect the Vikings to play a little better on the offensive side of the ball, but the defense will continue to hold this team back and push the franchise further into the conversation for a high draft pick.

Prediction: Titans 31, Vikings 14
