The injury report for Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans doesn’t look good for the Minnesota Vikings.

Urgency is reaching critical levels as the Minnesota Vikings are winless through the first two weeks of the 2020 NFL season and the team needs to get their win as well as some momentum if they want to be relevant this year.

A struggling offense and a defense that can’t stop drives have made this season brutal to watch. Injuries have been a part of their struggles with star defensive end Danielle Hunter and Anthony Barr on injured reserve as well as Michael Pierce opting out and Cameron Smith needing heart surgery plus Ben Gedeon on the PUP list.

The Minnesota Vikings are not healthy despite it being early in the season and it will be a big factor in Week 3 against the undefeated Tennessee Titans. Here is who might not be suiting up for both squads according to the team’s official website.

QUESTIONABLE

This is a bad injury report for a team already struggling at the cornerback position. Much will fall on Holton Hill and Jeff Gladney to pick up a lot of slack while Dantzler, Hughes, and Boyd recover to get in playing shape.

Minnesota will need to focus on stopping Derrick Henry on Sunday and that means the team was likely already going to give more slack to the Titans passing attack. With the two defensive backs out and one more banged up, this could be a long day for the Vikings defense.

OUT

  • A.J. Brown, wide receiver – knee
  • Chris Jackson, cornerback – hamstring
  • Derrick Roberson, linebacker – illness

The Titans not having Brown to catch passes will be a big loss for them. He is a dynamic playmaker and a major threat any time he catches the ball. Considering the injuries for the Vikings cornerbacks, this could help the team a little.

Both Roberson and Jackson shouldn’t have their absence impact the Titans on Sunday. Both a low on the team’s depth chart and likely wouldn’t have seen the field on defense barring some injuries or absences.
