Are the experts right about the Vikings this week?

It’s hard to disagree with almost any spot where the experts decide to place Minnesota in their power rankings heading into Week 4. Considering the team is still searching for their first win and struggling defensively, somewhere near the cellar is the most obvious spot for the purple and gold.

There are reasons to be optimistic about this team. Perhaps the big game from Dalvin Cook and a breakout performance from Justin Jefferson are enough to encourage experts not to keep the team too far down the rankings.

Oddly, the highest spot at 20 seems far too generous while the lowest ranking of 30 seems far too low. The average of approximately 24 seems fair or possibly lower toward 26 would be more accurate for now.

Something has to give in Week 4 when the Vikings head out on the road to take on the Houston Texans. The two teams are both seeking their first win of the season and a victory against Deshaun Watson and company could be the turning point of the year for Minnesota.
