The Vikings have the best safety tandem in the league, but the Texans have a very solid duo of their own. Justin Reid and Eric Murray are very good and Reid is the guy Minnesota will really need to be aware of at all times.

Reid does so much for Houston’s defense. He’s excellent in coverage with 16 career pass breakups and five interceptions. He isn’t afraid to come up and crowd the line of scrimmage to attack the run either. He already has 21 tackles on the season and he is one of the Texans’ best overall defenders.

Kirk Cousins is off to a rough start this year having already thrown six interceptions. That was as many as he had all of 2019 and while some of these have been due to last-second hail mary passes, others have just been the result of poor decisions on Cousins’ part.

Reid could have a chance to snag his first interception of the year this week if Cousins doesn’t pay close attention to where the safety is lining up and the type of coverage he is showing.

The Vikings’ run blockers also need to be aware of this versatile safety as he could be tasked with coming up in the box in an attempt to neutralize Dalvin Cook and Minnesota’s running attack.
