Titans pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney will be out a big chunk of money to pay for fines from hits against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3.

The game between the Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans in Week 3 was a physical affair that came down to the wire. The purple and gold ended up falling short of a victory, but they won’t be the only ones taking a loss from the game.

According to reports, superstar pass-rushing specialist Jadeveon Clowney will see his bank account get a little smaller after having fines handed down to him from the NFL stemming from illegal hits in the game.

News of Clowney’s fines was handed down from Tom Pelissero on Twitter on Saturday.

$35,000 is a lot of money to lose in penalties, but the fines are understandable. Not only did an illegal blindside block cost the Titans six points on a pick-six, but the block was also deemed to be bad enough to warrant a fine.

Clowney is an aggressive player who focuses on his pursuit of the quarterback. His play style can often call for him to make big hits or sometimes not be able to stop his momentum, oftentimes resulting in penalties.

The defensive end has made a living out of making the life of opposing quarterbacks difficult and he has been living up to that standard this year. He has executed some hits on Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz as well as Vikings passer Kirk Cousins and Jaguars signal-caller Gardner Minshew.

Thankfully for Clowney, he has made more than enough money during his NFL career to be able to pay these fines easily. His one-year deal with the Titans worth up to $15 million will more than cover those hits.

So far, this has been a pretty good year for Minnesota Vikings players when it comes to avoiding fines but there is still a lot of football left to play during the 2020 NFL season.
