The Best

Coming into this game, the Houston Texans were the worst team in the league against the run. Teams have had their way rushing against them, and that was no different in Sunday’s matchup for the Minnesota Vikings.

Of course, Dalvin Cook is coming off a career game last week and his backup Alexander Mattison is more than capable of plowing through defenders. The duo combined for 147 yards on 34 carries, averaging 4.3 yards per attempt.

It was Cook that was the star in the backfield. The Vikings running back had 27 carries for 130 yards and two scores, bringing his season total to 424 yards and four touchdowns. Investing in this young man looks like a wise move with every passing week.

If not for Cook having to sit out a play, he likely would have punched in the short-yardage touchdown Alexander Mattison had as well. However, it’s hard to argue with the results on the ground unless you’re a fantasy football owner who has Cook.
