Offensive MVP

Dalvin Cook – RB

There were some great options for MVP this week. Both Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson make great arguments but there was just something special about the way Dalvin Cook ran the football against the Texans that earns him this spot.

Not only did it seem like Houston defenders couldn’t (or didn’t want to) tackle the Minnesota Vikings running back and he had a field day breaking arm tackles, bouncing off defenders, and stiff-arming his way to the end zone.

On the day, Cook carried the ball 27 times for 130 yards and two touchdowns. While he didn’t break a run longer than 15 yards, he did average 4.8 yards per carry and consistently put the team in a good position in late downs.

If not for Cook needing to sit out a play after needing a moment to get up from the field, Cook would likely have added another touchdown to his day. Instead, his backup Alexander Mattison took advantage of the opportunity to punch in the four-yard score.
