Pass-Catcher of the First Quarter

Adam Thielen – WR

The departure of Stefon Diggs put the Vikings behind the ball for the 2020 NFL season. They would either need Adam Thielen to become a mega-star or one of their other pass-catchers would have to step up and become a credible target for Kirk Cousins.

Even though Thielen doesn’t lead the team in receiving yards through the first four games of the season, he is on pace to catch 16 touchdowns this season, something that hasn’t been done by a Minnesota player since Randy Moss grabbed 17 during the 2003 season.

Thielen has already shown to be the receiver Vikings fans know and love, making some spectacular catches and helping a Minnesota offense that is primarily focused on establishing the ground game.

With 284 receiving yards and four touchdowns, Thielen is living up to all of his expectations this year and he should be one of Cousins’ primary targets for the rest of the season moving forward.
