What are some of the keys to victory for the Minnesota Vikings as they get set to take on the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field?
It was a huge relief for the Minnesota Vikings when they picked up their first victory of the 2020 season last weekend at the Houston Texans. But another stern test of their credentials awaits them in Week 5.
Mike Zimmer’s men will face the daunting task of trying to derail the Seattle Seahawks in another pivotal contest that has the potential to get the Vikings back into playoff contention. Going 1-4 would probably end their hopes of a postseason tilt in 2020 thanks in no small part to the way their NFC North rival Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are currently playing. However, if they could upset the odds and secure a 2-3 record through five weeks, then it might give them half a chance with an extra playoff spot up for grabs this year.
Getting a positive result at the Seahawks will be easier said than done. Seattle is currently unbeaten after a standout start to the campaign than has seen quarterback Russell Wilson become an NFL MVP frontrunner with a series of dazzling displays.
This will also have the attention of the national fanbase on Sunday Night Football, which is another added pressure that shouldn’t be overlooked. The Vikings have been hit and miss during primetime games in recent years and any slip-up in this one would condemn them to relative mediocrity compared to their ambitions before competitive action got underway.
Let’s take a look at some of the keys to victory for the Vikings as they look to pull off a major upset later on today.
