Make the passing game count

The Minnesota Vikings have used star running back Davin Cook heavily this season. This is to be expected given his exceptional talent, which he has showcased in no uncertain terms during a standout campaign so far.

However, the Seahawks have really struggled in the passing game and this is something the Vikings might want to take advantage of. Their protection might be a little problematic on the interior, but they still have some potent weapons on offense despite the offseason trade that sent Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills.

Adam Thielen and rookie sensation Justin Jefferson are sure to see plenty of action in Seattle. Both have more than lived up to their billing through four games and they will relish coming up against a defense that is ranked dead last in passing yards allowed.

This would also be a good chance for tight end Irv Smith Jr. to finally have a coming-out party. The former Alabama standout has been used sparingly after being tipped as a potential breakout star before Minnesota’s Week 1 opener. But the player will never get a better chance to make more of an impression than he’ll get on Sunday night.

Cook also has the potential stamp his authority on the passing game, with the likes of Bisi Johnson also aiming for more targets in an area they can exploit if given the chance.
