Pass Defenders

The Vikings pass defense has been a weak point this year as they’ve allowed the sixth-most passing yards per game this season (259.6 yards per contest).

That will need to get better with Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, and Calvin Ridley coming to town. Minnesota’s defense also continues to give up points as they are allowing an average of over 30 points a game this year.

The Vikings defensive line is going to need to pressure Ryan this week. It could be the only way for Minnesota to slow down the Falcons’ high-powered passing attack.

While Atlanta might not be performing like some people thought they would this year, there’s still a chance that they find their groove and surprise some team’s this season. The Vikings defense is going to have to be on their toes in this one in order to avoid being upset by the Falcons.

If Minnesota can hold Atlanta to around 200 passing yards, this should go down as a close game. If the Falcons are closer to the 250 to 300-yard mark with their passing attack, this matchup could turn into a shootout, something the Vikings don’t want to happen again.
