Calvin Ridley – WR

Calvin Ridley has really come into his own this season and has pushed Julio Jones for the title of the best receiver on the Falcons. This guy has been heavily targeted by Matt Ryan to the tune of 50 on the season. He’s also been extremely productive.

Ridley has been a beast this season and has racked up 485 yards, four touchdowns on 29 receptions. He’s been Ryan’s go-to guy and is able to create plenty of explosive plays in the passing game.

Ridley is going to be a tough matchup for whatever young Vikings corner gets assigned to him. Ridley is extremely quick in and out of his breaks, runs smooth routes, and is a ball magnet who routinely makes tough grabs. He is savvy enough to trick a young corner like Gladney or Dantzler but also physical enough to high point the ball and out-muscle them for it.

The Minnesota Vikings would be wise to have a safety cheat over to whatever side Ridley lines up on. Harris or Smith are both excellent in coverage and it may take both them and a corner to slow this beast down on Sunday.
