Todd Gurley – RB

The Vikings have been better this year against the run than the pass, but have had some moments where they are giving up some pretty generous yardage up the middle. There were a few plays last week when Chris Carson was able to gash them through the heart of their defense, and the Vikings’ interior defenders are still seeing visions of Derrick Henry in their head when they go to bed at night after he made them look silly back in Week 3.

That’s why Todd Gurley is going to be a handful this Sunday. Gurley isn’t the same as he was back in his prime with the Rams, but he’s having a bit of a resurgence. Gurley has already rushed for 375 yards with five scores. He’s running with great patience and burst and has resembled the Gurley we all saw back in 2018 when he had an MVP caliber type of year.

Gurley hasn’t been the weapon in the passing game that he’s shown back in his prime but that could still be coming. The Minnesota Vikings have to be well aware of Gurley and not put all of their focus on those sexy set of receivers. If they do, Gurley could punch them in the mouth and bust off some runs that balance out the Falcons’ offense and making it too tough to stop.
