Atlanta’s defense has been even worse than Minnesota’s

If you’ve watched all five of the Vikings games in 2020, you know that it truly says something that other defenses around the NFL have been worse. Atlanta is one of them.

Minnesota surrenders 30.4 points per game through five weeks of this season, which ranks 28th in the NFL. The Falcons are allowing 32.2 per game, and that the second-worst in the business behind the Dallas Cowboys.

Minnesota’s defense is supposed to be a unit that is maturing on the fly whereas we don’t really know what the problem could be for Atlanta. Nothing has gone right for the Falcons in 2020. They’ve coughed away serious leads to teams, and that’s probably why their once-revered head coach is unemployed.
