What are some of the keys to victory for the Minnesota Vikings when they take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 of the 2020 season?
If there was ever a time for the Minnesota Vikings to gain a morale-boosting victory on home soil, then this is it.
To say it has been a disappointing start to the 2020 season for Mike Zimmer’s men would be something of an understatement. But if they can gain success over the Atlanta Falcons heading into their bye week, it would give the Vikings some confidence in their bid to turn things around through the second half of the campaign.
If things look bleak in Minnesota through five weeks, then it looks even worse from the Falcons perspective. Their disappointing home loss to the resurgent Carolina Panthers last weekend leaves them at 0-5 and saw their beleaguered former head coach Dan Quinn finally put out of his misery.
Raheem Morris will be tasked with leading Atlanta in the interim as a long-term plan is put in place. But this is clearly a team going through a period of transition and the Vikings have to take advantage of this in no uncertain terms.
There is plenty of talent on the Falcons roster, but they are devoid of any real confidence, and blowing two big leads early in the season further highlighted their lack of resolve. Things might improve somewhat now Quinn is no longer around. But Morris hasn’t had much time to install his way of thinking on a roster that might already be past the point of no return.
Let’s take a look at four keys to victory for the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium as they go in search of only their second win of the season.
