Minnesota Vikings Best and Worst: Week 6 vs. Atlanta Falcons
By Adam Carlson
The Best
People can say all they want about the talent level of the Minnesota Vikings but one thing they can’t say is that Justin Jefferson has been a disappointment. The first-round pick of the Vikings in 2020, Jefferson has been a dynamic playmaker with the potential to go off at any time.
This week was JJ time. The rookie had 11 footballs thrown his direction, hauling in nine of those for 166 yards and two touchdowns with his second scoring catch going for an impressive 49 yards through the air and on the ground.
Jefferson continues to prove that he can not only run great routes to create separation at the NFL level but he can make difficult catches and pick up yards after the catch. If he keeps that up, he will keep getting a lot of looks.
In fact, Jefferson has more receiving yards through his first six NFL games than Randy Moss did during his first six. Comparing him to the Superfreak might be premature, but it’s definitely a positive to have a player with such potential.
