Vikings fans have been calling for the team to tank for Trevor Lawrence since they started 0-2 this season. Those calls haven’t really quieted down much this year and they’re probably going to get much louder after Minnesota’s loss to the Falcons.

As bad as the Vikings have been, there are still NFL teams who have played even worse than them this season.

For a team to land Lawrence in the 2021 NFL Draft, it’s likely going to require them to end up with the No. 1 overall pick. For Minnesota to enter a draft with the first-overall selection for the third time in franchise history, they would probably have to lose all 10 of their remaining games this year.

A team has to be that terrible to land the No. 1 pick in 2021 thanks to how bad the New York Jets have played this season. The Jets have yet to get a victory this year and they might not win any games at all. So even if the Vikings finish with a 1-15 record this year, New York could still land the top draft pick in 2021.
