Kirk Cousins – QB

Kirk Cousins started the Vikings total collapse against the Falcons on the first play of the game. He made a terrible read and then underthrew Justin Jefferson and the pass was easily picked off by an Atlanta defender.

Cousins followed that mistake a few series later when, again, he made a terrible decision. He stared down Jefferson and still threw the ball in his direction despite the rookie being completely blanketed by Falcons corner A.J. Terrell. This decision from the Minnesota quarterback also resulted in an interception.

Cousins later had a third interception of the half when his hand was hit as he threw and the ball fluttered gently into the hands of an Atlanta linebacker.

That’s the problem with Cousins right now, he’s been a turnover machine. He had a terrible first half against the Falcons and during the Vikings’ previous game, he had a turnover-filled meltdown in the third quarter against the Seahawks.

Cousins just isn’t right at the moment and he is making poor decisions with the football. Maybe all the hits he’s taken this year are starting to take their toll. Whatever the reason, Minnesota’s highly paid quarterback has been a major part of the problem this year and he has to take a lot of blame for their 1-5 start.
