Should the Minnesota Vikings trade for a young quarterback to develop behind Kirk Cousins?

With the way this season has started for Kirk Cousins, his time with the Minnesota Vikings seems closer to ending than it ever has before.

Despite signing a two-year extension back in March, the veteran quarterback has already given the Vikings multiple reasons during the current campaign to begin thinking about someone else as their starting signal-caller.

Due to the way his contract is set up, Cousins will still be in Minnesota in 2021 unless someone decides to trade for him. So at the very least, the Vikings are probably stuck with him on their roster for another year after the current season.

Even if he sticks around until 2022, Minnesota can still attempt to acquire a quarterback before the 2021 season who can be his eventual replacement. The Vikings can either start from scratch and add a rookie passer in next year’s NFL Draft or they could possibly make a trade before this season’s deadline for a young quarterback.

If they choose the latter route, who are some of the young passing prospects around the league that Minnesota could potentially acquire before this year’s trade deadline on November 3?
