6 Vikings players who could be traded next before the deadline

Anthony Harris – S
The Vikings just got rid of one player on the franchise tag, so why not another?
Anthony Harris is a prime candidate for a possible trade before the deadline thanks in no small part to his status beyond this season. Minnesota decided to tag the safety after a standout 2019 campaign that saw him emerge as one of the NFL’s most consistent performers at the position. But his level of production has decreased significantly this time around.
Despite this, there should be plenty of interest in Harris if Minnesota decides to go in this particular direction. They might not get as much for the safety as they would have before the season began. But any additional draft capital at this juncture is going to be a bonus for their long-term aspirations.
This is far from an ideal situation. But Harris might decide to take his chances elsewhere to a possible contender next spring and the Vikings will not want to lose the player with no compensation to show for it after all they went through to keep him around earlier this year.
Harris is a talented player who has benefitted enormously from the presence of Pro Bowler Harrison Smith alongside him. But if Minnesota decides to strike while the iron is hot, there should be plenty of suitors.
