Baltimore Ravens

The Vikings have already done one bombshell deal with the Ravens this season, so why not another?

Baltimore gave up two draft picks to acquire stud pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue from Minnesota last week, which only adds to a defense that has been dominant for large parts of the current season. However, if there was an opportunity to get an experienced body to replace Earl Thomas, then it would be remiss of the organization not to take it as they look to finally break their playoff struggles with Lamar Jackson under center.

This would be a risk for the Ravens to give up even more draft capital. But if they are in a win-now mode with their talented roster, then why not trade for Harrison Smith?

Smith is still performing at a solid level. this season The Vikings’ deficiencies couldn’t be attributed to the former Notre Dame standout and at this stage of his career, it would be hard to turn down the chance of joining a team that looks to be on the cusp of greatness.

The Ravens do have Chuck Clark and DeShon Elliott currently occupying their safety positions after they cut ties with Thomas earlier this year following a disciplinary issue. Clark and Elliott have performed well so far, but adding someone like Smith would take Baltimore up to another level.
