Are the experts right about the Vikings this week?

At this point, it would be hard to disagree with almost any placement of the Vikings in power rankings. They haven’t given a lot of hope to rebound this season and trading away Yannick Ngakoue might be a sign the team is looking to the future already instead of focusing on the present.

Being placed at an average of 26.4 might be a bit generous at this point, especially when the Green Bay Packers should be a heavy favorite to beat the Vikings in Week 8 and drop the team down even more.

There are some games coming up on Minnesota’s schedule that could be winnable. But the odds of the Vikings rebounding to make the playoffs is abysmally low and a loss to Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau might put a fork in those hopes.

The only hope is that Minnesota hasn’t given up. There are still some highly talented players on this roster and they need to step up in a big way if they don’t want to be the laughing stock of the NFL for the rest of the 2020 NFL season.
