Pushing for a title seems out of reach, but there are still plenty of things the Minnesota Vikings can play for this season.

The Minnesota Vikings 2020 season has not gone the way they planned. The team is 1-5 and have lost some close games and been completely outclassed in others. The Vikings have issues on both sides of the ball that have contributed to their struggles this season.

Offensively, Kirk Cousins is struggling and the interior of the offensive line has been a major sore spot. The team has also failed to properly utilize weapons in the passing game like Irv Smith Jr, Kyle Rudolph, and Bisi Johnson, making one question the play calling or maybe it’s the decision making of the quarterback.

Defensively, the team has issues stopping the run and putting heat on opposing quarterbacks. The biggest problem has been the inconsistent play from the young cornerbacks. Some weeks this inexperienced group looks good, and other weeks look like they have never stepped on a football field before.

These issues have contributed to the dismal record. While the chances of competing in the postseason look very slim at this point, the Vikings still have some things they can play for this season.
