Predicting the Vikings 2020 record with half a season left to go
By Adam Patrick
Will the Minnesota Vikings turn things around and make the playoffs?
For the Minnesota Vikings, the 2020 season started about as poorly as possible. After their first six games, the Vikings had just one win and a ton of questions about the future of the franchise.
During the two matchups since their bye, however, Minnesota has looked like a totally different team. Led by a smothering rushing attack and a defensive mastermind on the sidelines, the Vikings have given their fans hope once again.
With a 3-5 record after their first eight games, Minnesota still has an uphill battle to earn their way into the playoffs this year. But with there being an additional spot available in each conference this season, the Vikings definitely still have a shot at getting back into the postseason for the second year in a row.
Minnesota has eight more games left on their schedule, four at home, and four on the road. Of the Vikings’ remaining matchups this season, only one of them will come against a team that made the playoffs in 2019.
Since 2010, nine teams have made the playoffs after beginning their season with a 3-5 record. Will Minnesota be the next team to accomplish this?
