Week 14

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Away)

  • Date: Sunday, December 13
  • Time: 12 p.m. CT
  • TV: FOX

With Tom Brady having a bye week to prepare for this matchup, the Vikings will likely need to play a perfect game if they are going to come away with a win over the Bucs in Week 14.

Tampa Bay, unsurprisingly, has been a much better team with Brady starting under center. But the Bucs having one of the best run defenses in the NFL has also played a big part in them starting the season with a 6-3 record.

Unfortunately, that impressive Tampa Bay run defense is what will probably result in Minnesota seeing their winning streak come to an end.

Prediction: Vikings lose (7-6)

Week 15

Chicago Bears (Home)

  • Date: Sunday, December 20
  • Time: 12 p.m. CT
  • TV: FOX

This matchup between the Vikings and their NFC North rival will potentially have playoff implications. It could also end up being a game between two teams whose seasons didn’t go as planned.

Normally, Minnesota finishes off their schedule each year with a home matchup against the Bears. In fact, the Vikings have hosted Chicago in their final game of the season five times in the last six years.

The result of Minnesota’s matchup with the Bears in Week 10 should give us a good indication of how this Week 15 game will turn out. We predicted the Vikings to get a win over Chicago in Week 10, so the same should happen when they face each other again inside U.S. Bank Stadium.

Prediction: Vikings win (8-6)
