Are the experts right about the Vikings this week?

Experts trying to figure out the true identity of the Vikings have to be quite baffled. Is this the team from the beginning of the season that couldn’t compete with some teams or is this the squad that dismantled two division opponents in a convincing fashion?

The truth is that the Vikings are both. Without Dalvin Cook in their lineup, their offense looks completely different and the young secondary appears to be gaining experience and confidence to help a hard-working group of linebackers to get work done for the defense.

Averaging out the Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde identities of this team is the only way to be fair right now and their record of 3-5 dictates that they remain a little lower than the middle of the road for the time being.

Being ranked 18 out of the 32 teams is more than fair at this moment and actually shows that experts might be optimistic about this team going forward by how close to the middle of the road (16.5) this team is at the moment. A win against the Bears in Chicago could see them move into the upper half despite having a losing record.

How do you feel about the placement of the Vikings in these national NFL power rankings heading into Week 10 of the 2020 season? Should the purple and gold be higher or lower in the standings? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
