Week 16

New Orleans Saints (Away)

Why the Vikings can win:

Less than a year ago, the Vikings were able to march into New Orleans and hand the Saints a shocking overtime loss in the first round of the playoffs.

During that matchup, Dalvin Cook racked up 130 total yards and two touchdowns. With the way Cook is currently playing, it’s safe to assume that he could put together a similar performance against New Orleans this season.

Week 17

Detroit Lions (Away)

Why the Vikings can win:

With Matt Patricia as their head coach, the Lions have never defeated the Vikings. Not once, not ever. Now, there is a chance that Patricia could be fired before this season-ending matchup with Minnesota and that could work in Detroit’s favor.

But if Patricia is still the guy in charge for this Week 17 game, then the Vikings should be thrilled about the Lions decision to keep him around.
