Another team hoping to build toward a playoff berth is the Dolphins. Now led by rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, Miami has a 5-3 record and is already two full games behind the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.

Tagovailoa will need some help on offense, and they haven’t been giving him much to work with on the ground. The Dolphins are dead last in the NFL in yards per rushing attempt with 3.6 and 28th in rushing yards per game with 97.1.

Miami is still a young team that will grow to be a contender over time, but if they want to have a chance to do anything during the 2020 NFL season, they will need to provide some depth and completion in spots where they are weak.

Pat Elflein is a solid run blocker and could be someone the Dolphins take a cheap look at to kick the tires and give the former Vikings offensive lineman a try. The worst that happens is that things don’t work out and they continue to build through the draft in the future.
