Tajae Sharpe – WR

Following the Vikings’ decision to trade Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills back in March, some thought Tajae Sharpe could at least help make up for some of the lost production in Minnesota’s passing offense.

Before signing with the Vikings, Sharpe caught a total of 92 passes for 1,167 yards, and eight touchdowns in three seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

But then the Vikings went and used their first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to select former LSU wide receiver, Justin Jefferson. With Jefferson performing as well as he has this season, Sharpe’s role in Minnesota’s offense has been non-existent.

The former Titans receiver has appeared in only two games this year and he’s been on the field for a total of 16 snaps. Sharpe is only costing the Vikings $1 million this season, but there doesn’t seem to really be any reason to bring him back in 2021.
