Sean Mannion – QB
This is probably more of a hope than a prediction, but the Vikings really need to find a better backup than Sean Mannion.
Sure he’s cheap and maybe he’s like another coach for Kirk Cousins on the sidelines. But if Cousins goes down at all, Minnesota is doomed with Mannion playing under center.
The former Oregon State quarterback has done next to nothing since he was selected in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. Mannion has started a total of two games, he’s never thrown a touchdown pass, and he has a 57.5 career passer rating.

15 worst Minnesota Vikings free agent signings of all-time
Since free agency first began in the NFL in 1993, which 15 players were unable to live up to the lucrative contract given to them by the Minnesota Vikings?
During free agency or the next year’s draft, the Vikings need to find a backup quarterback who is actually capable of helping the team win games. It doesn’t necessarily have to be someone who can potentially take Cousins’ starting job in the future, but Minnesota just needs to find a better No. 2 signal-caller before it ends up costing them some games.
