The Worst

The kick return coverage by the Minnesota Vikings special teams unit was abysmal in this game. This has been an issue for a few weeks now and it has to be something the GM and coaching staff address this coming week.

The ugliest moment on special teams came when the Vikings allowed Cordarrelle Patterson to return a kickoff 104 yards for a score, which would be the only touchdown the Bears would put on the board during the game.

However, there was more to this special teams disaster than just one touchdown. In fact, Chicago punt returner Anthony Miller ripped off a 32-yard return to give the Bears great field position, even though they didn’t capitalize on it.

Add in a terrible snap on an extra point attempt and you have a night that special teams coordinator Marwan Maalouf would like to forget. He probably won’t get that chance though, since he will likely be grilled this week about his unit’s performance.
