More Good Stuff

The Minnesota Vikings offense looked pretty good. They gained 430 yards of offense, found the end zone four times on the day, and put 28 total points on the board. However, that wouldn’t prove to be enough to put Dallas away.

The purple and gold also won the time of possession and converted 60 percent of their third-down chances in addition to averaging seven yards per play compared to 5.9 for the Dallas Cowboys.

Other good things from Week 11

  • Those Vikings linebackers. Eric Kendricks was in the spotlight this game, extending his body on two different occasions to make a play on the football. One of those plays resulted in a pass breakup while the other was an interception. Meanwhile, Eric Wilson was playing sideline to sideline well and racking up tackles. The duo combined for 16 tackles (six solo).
  • Jumbo Jettas. Justin Jefferson only caught three passes in the game, but the ones he did catch counted in a big way. His three snags went for 86 and a great 39-yard touchdown to put the Vikings on top late in the fourth quarter.
  • Dropping dimes. Quarterback Kirk Cousins had himself a day. He completed 22 of his 30 passing attempts for 314 yards and three touchdowns. That’s good for a quarterback rating of 140.1 despite being sacked twice and being under pressure on multiple occasions.
  • The kitchen is open. Dalvin Cook had another solid game against the Cowboys, rushing for 115 yards on 27 carries and scoring one touchdown. He added five catches for 45 yards to bring his total yards from scrimmage to 160.
